Northlands House is situated in a residential area of Southampton, approximately one mile from the city centre. Opened in summer 2005, it is a purpose built nursing home designed specifically to meet the needs of elderly residents. Extending over three floors each bedroom has en-suite facilities, 24 hour call system and under floor heating thermostats. All bedrooms are for single occupancy, and there are a few with adjoining rooms, if required. Some of the bedrooms have patio access or views onto our attractively planned gardens, which offer a delightful place to spend a sunny afternoon. In addition to the garden, the lounges and dining rooms offer comfortable areas for residents to relax and entertain guests. The home's activities programme features a varied and entertaining social calendar including trips to local places of interest and the coast, and visiting entertainers. Personal interests and hobbies, such as arts and crafts, are always encouraged at Northlands House.

The home is approximately 1 mile from the city centre. There is a bus stop at the end of Westrow Road and the bus runs every 10 minutes. The main train station is approximately ½ a mile away.

Directions

From M3: leave at junction 14 taking the A33 towards Southampton. At the first roundabout take the second exit, and at the second roundabout take the 1st exit into Bassett Avenue. After approximately 1 mile turn right onto Northlands Road and ½ mile down the road turn left into Westrow Road. The home is situated on the left hand side just after the turning for Westrow Gardens.

From the city centre: from Southampton Civic Centre follow signs for Ring Road North, East A3024 and take the first left onto Commerical Road. Take 2nd left onto Hill Lane and then follow for ½ mile taking the 2nd right onto Archers Road. Take the 3rd left onto Westrow Road. The home is situated on the right hand side just after the turning for Banister Gardens.

By bus: bus route 5 travels along Archers Road which is 2 minutes walk from the home on Westrow Road
